Your extra item can make a real difference.

Our parcels are made possible by the generosity of people across Kāpiti.

You can donate food and other essential items directly to the Foodbank from 8.30am, Monday–Friday, or by appointment. Or place donations in collection bins at participating stores (Pak n Save, The Warehouse, Woolworths & New World).

What Can I Donate?

Food we need

Some of the items we regularly need include:

  • Soup
  • Pasta and noodles
  • Pasta and pasta sauces
  • Tea, coffee and milk
  • Canned fish
  • Sugar
  • Canned spaghetti and baked beans
  • Jam, honey, Marmite and peanut butter
ⓘ Smaller packets are particularly helpful when donating items such as rice, tea, coffee and sugar, as they are easier to distribute in individual food parcels.

Fresh fruit & vegetables

Fresh produce from your garden or supermarket is always welcome.

Please deliver fresh fruit and vegetables directly to the Foodbank between 8.30am and 12.30pm, Monday–Friday, rather than placing them in supermarket donation bins.

Please remember

For health and safety reasons, donated food must:

  • Be unopened
  • Be within its expiry/use-by date

Donate money

A little can go a long way.

Financial donations help us purchase the food and essential supplies we need when donations can’t meet demand.

Even the price of a coffee can help provide food for someone in our community.
